We hope the inside the beltway Republicans are paying attention. The electorate wants true conservatives whether they have an R by their name or not. Conservative candidate Hoffman has taken a wide lead in the NY-23 house race with 31% to his rival’s 19%. This is especially significant because his rival, Scozzafava, was handpicked by the GOP establishment to run as a liberal republican. Newt Gingrich made a highly publicized endorsement of her, proving once and for all how out-of-touch he really is. Sarah Palin bravely put herself on the line and endorsed Hoffman and that’s what people are looking for. Brave conservatives who believe in true principles, not just the latest scheme to try to inch ahead. LINK
It was the heavyweight matchup of the season. Sarah, the beloved newcomer vs. Newt, the crusty old panderer. First, Sarah was invited to speak at the year’s biggest GOP fundraiser. Then, Newt whined so the offer was rescinded. Sarah complained and was invited back – but not as a speaker. So, Sarah arranged an interview to be aired on Hannity at the same time Newt delivered his speech. Take that Newty! While Gingrich blathered on about how much he loves Colin Powell and Tom Ridge, Sarah delivered the knockout punch on Hannity. She spoke bluntly about Obama’s failures and his push towards socialism. She is the only elected official brave enough to tell it like it is. Consider your clock cleaned, Mr. Newt. 
Newt, you buckled one day too soon. Mark Levin, a more disciplined Conservative than you, revealed last night that Sotomayor made the same racist comment about her being better than a white male 2 years earlier. You can’t misspeak twice. So, you caved for nothing. You said your racist comment was “too strong.” Sad truth is it wasn’t strong enough. Newt, you’ve lost your backbone and you have been voted off conservative island. Don’t let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out.
